Graduation Gown Measurement Guide

A — Height

Measure from the top of the head to the floor.
Stand straight and remove footwear for best accuracy.

B — Chest

Measure around the fullest part of the chest.
This measurement is used for adult gowns only to ensure a comfortable fit.

C — Sleeve Length

Measure from the centre of the back, across the shoulder, down to the wrist.
This ensures the gown sleeves fall correctly during the ceremony.

  • Graduation gowns are designed to have a loose, traditional academic fit.
  • Measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements.
